About a year Ago Renee found me while searching for a guitar teacher. Unable to cut down the beautiful finger nails she had, the guitar wasn't a viable option anymore. We stayed in touch though and she said "When I open my bar, you are gonna play it". Well that day has come. I couldn't be more excited for her and I'm honored she thinks so highly of me to have me rock at her Grand Opening. I stopped by the Grand Avenue Tavern today to see the place and am excited to show it to you all. It's quite a spectacle. Seriously. Probably has the nicest bar bathrooms you'll ever pee in. Rich colors, rock, and metal create a cozy juxtaposition that's awe inspiring. There's even a cool patio outside too. The stage is being finished and the sound system is going in Monday. I'll be heading back this week to do a sound check. So be sure and check it out the big party on Friday, April 4th, 2008

Hello & Welcome!!! My name is Micah Beverly, a fairly new musician, to the Phoenix, AZ music scene. For the last couple of years I have played all my shows as a solo act. Soon to be added to the mix will be a Bass Player and Drummer! More on this as it developes. When I don't have a bass player, drummer, lead guitarist or background vocalist, I cover all those with my acoustic guitar and vocals LIVE by using a Looper and some effects! (NOTHING'S PRE-RECORDED, that's cheating). In having full control over my music career, I write my own songs and run my career from front to back. With songs about more than broken hearts I'm trying to give you something different lyrically and trying to deliver a new One-Man-Acoustic-Rock sound. Here's a video for you to get a feel for what I do live. The other guitar parts you hear throughout the song in the video are recorded, like I said, LIVE in front of the audience. I turn the acoustic into an electric lead guitar at the end. I really enjoy playing and love what I do. Hope you love it.

Working on the NEW ALBUM "Half-Plugged"
Yep! Finally it is going to come to fruition. Just finished writing the new song "Come By Tonight". You know... I should post a clip of it here. or a video. hmmm. Let me get right on that. I'm taking a break from shows to record. I plan on grabin' the bull by the balls, oops I mean horn, come the turn of the year. I picture a new full length album, touring, big shows, entries into song writing contests, paying gigs, and being much more interactive with fans. I have kind of been half-assed due to not having "everything" together. By everything I mean a cohesive package and career path. An album I'm proud of is number one, putting together a bio, press kit, custom merch like pics, t-shirts, stickers, posters, and then there is keeping the MySpace page and the website up to date and constantly contributing new content. Takes a lot of work. Then booking, organizing, publicizing and playing shows. Ah, the list goes on and on and I don't want to bore you. So all of that is starting to come together and I'm working on it all! I'm going to try and update this news page more. Just because I won't be playing shows till next year doesn't mean I won't be on here or my myspace page (myspace.com/micahbeverly). So let me go record a clip of the new song and I'll post it here. -Micah

I'll still be looping and such so it will rock. I plan on killing it and am already practicing my set. Yes, it is kind of a popularity vote so I need my friends and fans there. I'll do my best to win over the other people in the room!

CH3 TV Appearance "Good Morning Arizona"
One of the producers of Good Morning Arizona, Michiko, found me on Myspace and asked me to be on! Awesome! I of course, flattered, said, "Yes". (Thank you SOOOOOOO MUCH, Michiko!!!). I played a 30 second "teaser" of ONE BY ONE and then there was a short interview and then I rocked MIDNIGHT. Then there was the "bumper" to take the show out and I finished the solo to MIDNIGHT. The anchor Brian intro'd me like such "Here is Micah Beverly she is going to give us a sneek peak into her sound." HAHAHA!!! Dude way to brief yourself for the next segment Brian! I would do the show again in a heartbeat. This was quite the experience. First time on TV as a solo musician and it was the butt crack of dawn for me. I played a late show the night before and then slept 3 hours then went and did this TV show. So here it is in all its glory! Also some pics below.
